Trusting everything is fine with you by Gods grace. To Him be the glory!
I'm Pastor Bob Anino of Bible Community Church, La Libertad. These are my reactions, observations of the District Conference in our District, held in Calvary Baptist Church, Dumaguete City on April 25-27, 2006 with Rev. Dale Rott, Rev. Gonzalo Olojan and Rev. Ildefonso Alfafara, the General Secretary of the Baptist Conference of the Philippines as the speakers.
Lalibertad had 12 adults who attended plus 4 children. 7 women attended the Women's rally and 5 young people performed the tambourine dance. The film was really perfectly fitted for the theme of the conference since it deals about the life of the Apostle Paul. The film about three Biblical women was for the women's rally. The young people and the children dancers performed well. The Passover reenactment was really great. It was my first observation and personal experience being one of the participants. I could say well done with our director, Rev. Dale Rott. I could imagine the Old Testament people doing such ceremony, and I saw myself with them (OT PEOPLE) with the Lords Supper (NT) practice as the culmination of the activity. The ordination was so great and well organized. I could not imagine being one of the candidates. I had really a mixed up feelings marching in the aisle with my beloved wife to be ordained. Praise God for more than 20 years in service, ordination came. The business meeting went so well with all the reports, namely, from the chairman, yours truly, treasurer, Mr s. Lorna Elardo, Mountain minstry with Pastor Babel, TEXT class, by Pastors Rock and myself. This is the training ground of the District, TEXT stands for Theological Extension Training. Priase God for the 32 students we have in the district which will start on June 2, Friday in Guihulngan. June 6 will be our first Board meeting, and we will be discussing programs and projects of the district. It was such a great fellowship together of God's people throughout the District, represented by 30 churches with 137 registered participants. We thank God for what He has done to us and for the help of our bretren out there who helped us in PRAYERS, FINANCES FOR THE MEALS, AND FOR THE PROGRAMS. To God be the glory.

Personally, the District Conference we had in May 2006 was simply amazing! We had the biggest delegation in this conference - 25 young people; 10 for the women's group; 10 from the men's group and all the 7 members of the nwly elected church council. The young people were in-charge of the Praise & Worship of the entire conference, the women attended the women's activities where they shared a short drama and an interpretative dance. All involved themselves in the scheduled various programs and in the elections of new district officers.
* FILMS: They were very relevant and timely challenging.
* DANCES & PLAYS: They all focused on the theme.
* PASSOVER: That was something new! It was really good. It brought us back to actual Jewish practice. It was colorful
* ORDINATION: It was one of my greatest experiences this year. It reminded me of God's high calling and was once again challenged to stand up for Jesus no matter how difficult the ministry is and will be.
* SPEAKERS: They were all prepared. They challenged all of us to be all the more committed to God and His work.
I'm looking forward to another conference next year upholding new things and methods in order to clearly communicate God's purposes in our lives.
Araceli Candido, woman representative
The women's rally was a refreshing experience for the district women. Fellowshipping with each other is such a tremendous thing to have. So amazing to behold and see women all over the district came together to worship and magnify the Lord Jesus. As always, the women from churches were eager to share their gifts & talents in every women's gathering. Our next gathering will be in Hinakpan in December 2006.
Pastor Babel Melancolico, Mt. Pastor's Head
The conference was very successful. The topics discussed were a big help and a great challenge to our work in the mountains. Paul's life is an inspiration indeed. All the programs focused on the theme. Many new things were used & presented like the film showing, dramas & dances, the worship celebration, the communion service was amazing. All the speakers gave challenging messages that stirred our hearts to love God.
